  2. Stop Abuse
Many times abusers threatened their victims which makes it very difficult to deal with abuse, this result in severe pain that goes on until the victims decide to get help.
Abusers don't stop abuse on their own; it is up to the victims and those around them to help stop the abuse. Although a victim may feel "beaten up" by the abuser and may feel like they are nothing without him or her, the victim still can stand up to the abuser and assert control by speaking out.
Abused persons develop low self-esteem. An unknown author said:-
“When something bad happens you have three choices. You can let it define you, let it destroy you, or you can let it strengthen you.” ~Unknown
Abuse diminished self-esteem, leaving the individual very little to rely on for healing. Low self-esteem makes it easy for him or her to define themselves as a victim, because doing so allowed them to remain focused on the abuser.
Seeking help from a counselor and a support group can begin the process of healing and freedom from abuse. A personal relationship with God is very important in this process as well, which restore the abused person perception of who they are and this can stop abuse and expose the abuser.
