Can I TRUST HIM?

As I sit here, I mull over the conditions of His love and it overwhelms me. No condition- I mean nothing can keep Him from pursuing me! No mountain, no valley, neither death, nor sickness can keep me from His love. His love in UNCONDITIONAL. He pursues me hard. I do not have to strive for His love or sell my body and soul for it. Nothing can separate me from Him. He loves me and I try my best to love Him too but He can be trusted. I admit: I find it so hard to trust Him at times.

So many before HIM have made promises they could not keep. They could not hold the weight of my expectations. Their lofty claims of commitment are now vapours in the wind. Forgetting them was easy because they were forgettable. I made them gods-idols if you will-with great claims and little proof. I gave them my trust. They let me down. Still, He wants me to trust Him although He knows my track record. I can be fickle.

It can be so hard at times to trust His plans and His purposes. He assures me, “Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come.” Jeremiah 33:3

Isaiah 41:1 says “Do not be afraid for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name. You are mine.”

John 17:3 even says “I will be your God throughout your lifetime-until your hair is white with age. I made you and I will care for you. I will carry you along and I will save you. To whom will you compare Me to? I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Who is My equal? I am the Only True God.”

 

He has reassured me that He can be trusted. Chose to believe Him and stand firm on His promises.
